Piano and Voice Duet

You might remember in my post What To Do With Your Favorite Music, I shared a video of me playing Safe And Sound on the piano. In this post I will be showing you Safe And Sound with vocals! My friend Rachel is singing and I am playing.

Here are the lyrics:

I remember tears streaming down your face
When I said: "I'll never let you go."
When all those shadows almost killed your light.
I remember you said: "Don't leave me here alone."
But all that's dead and gone and passed tonight.

Just close your eyes,
The sun is going down.
You'll be alright,
No one can hurt you now.
Come morning light
You and I'll be safe and sound.

Don't you dare look out your window, darling
Everything's on fire.
The war outside our door keeps raging on.
Hold on to this lullaby
Even when the music's gone.

Just close your eyes,
The sun is going down.
You'll be alright,
No one can hurt you now.
Come morning light
You and I'll be safe and sound.

Here is the video:

Hope you like it! What's your favorite song?

Beautiful! I love that you take a favorite song and learn how to play it. Looks like you both had lots of fun, especially after seeing the bloopers! :) My daughter is 10 and is struggling with not wanting to practice her piano. Maybe I should suggest to her teacher that she get to play some popular music that she would recognize every once in a while. Thanks for sharing! :)

I love this video. The song is so pretty and I love your playing. You two could be sisters. I looks like you have memorized the song...very little site reading. Is that the case?
